Weekly Club Runs: Summer 2020-21 

All adult social runs are in operation (in accordance with Athletics NSW 'Return to Sport' Guidelines.

IMPORTANT: Please click on the 'Return to Training' regulations if you intend to attend a group training session:

UPDATE: 17 JULY 2020

Please note training groups are currently limited to 20 participants, with physical distancing (1.5m) at all times. Please confirm your attendance prior to attending training, so we can ensure we have enough coaches to split groups if needed. 

Do not attend training for if you are feeling unwell (even mild symptoms e.g. temperature, headache, respiratory symptoms) or have no symptoms but have visited Victoria or NSW 'hotspots' within the last 14 days, as listed here https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates

Online tailored training programs are available on request, for full members and senior squad members. Please speak to your coach or email byronbayrunners@gmail.com for more information.

Current Summer (Oct 2020 - March 2021) run schedule:

TUESDAYS:

Kids/Teens : Squad Track Sessions (Cavanbah Centre, Ewingsdale Road)

Please note spectators must register their attendance with the club coach, for COVID compliance.

  • Junior (primary school) Middle/Long Distance squad: 4.30-5.15pm, Track. Coaches - Caroline, Simon, Finn

  • Senior (high school): Middle/Long Distance squad: 5.30-6.15pm. Track. Coaches - Caroline, Pete

  • Sprint squad (juniors and seniors combined): 5-6pm: Track. Coaches - Caroline, Naomi

Adults: 

  • Speed-Endurance/Strength session: 6-7pm.Track or hills/road run (usually meet around Clarke's Beach Carpark). Coach Chris - whatsapp group. Coached session - free for full members or gold coin donation per session for social run members.

  • Track session: 6-7pm (Coaches Pete/Caroline): speed-endurance/speed development session (full members/gold coin social run members)

THURSDAYS 

Kids/Teens: Optional Track session (for runners competing in QA or ANSW track events)

  • 4.30-5.15pm: sprint/hurdles/relay Coaches - Caroline

  • 5.30-6.30pm: middle/long distance: threshold session

 

Adults :

  • Social run (open to full and social run members). 6pm trail/beach/road run. Check club facebook page (click on FB logo above) for details of start location/duration of this week's run. Whatsapp group. Run co-ordinators, Simon, Gary.

  • Track training: from 6-7pm: Coaches Pete/Caroline: threshold session (full members/gold coin social run members)

 

SUNDAYS:

Adults : social run (open to full and social run members). 7am recovery run (beach/trail/road) between 6-10km (easy pace with lots of stops).
