Herb Elliott 2026 – a record breaking night!

The 5th ‘Herb Elliott’ Twilight Track meet was held on Saturday providing a truly spectacular night of racing under the track lights. With cash prizes and runners’ merch up for grabs, runners came from far and wide (even as far as Ohio!), as well as great representation by the local running community of Byron, Suffolk, Lennox, Lismore and Ballina. We witnessed records tumble in all events, and an impressive 100m by our very own sprint coach Aziz, dipping to the line in 10.80 (on grass!)

Congratulations to the following athletes, setting new championship records: Harley Dilger (f,100m), Miliani Tighe (f, 200m), Wilton Townsend (m,800m), Amelia Wilson (f, 800m), Heidi Demeo (f, 1500m), Ashley Kempson (m, 3,000m).
